the history
For thousands of years, women have shared wisdom, offered guidance, and held one another through life’s seasons. Some of the earliest recorded women’s communities date back to ancient Mesopotamia around 3000 BCE, though it’s likely women gathered to support one another long before history formally documented it.
To Her continues this enduring tradition — a modern expression of an ancient practice and a consistent purpose. Creating intentional spaces where women can share insight, navigate life’s transitions together, and support the wellbeing of themselves, their families, and their communities.

Melissa Gibans
Melissa is a Certified Professional Coach who has supported women around the world through life transitions including divorce, retirement, career changes, illness, and the ripple effects of community crisis.
Again and again, similar patterns emerge. Transitions often begin with grief and loss, followed by uncertainty and disorientation. Pain and adjustment come next, eventually giving way to exploration and, finally, integration. On the other side, many women discover new wisdom, perspective, and purpose. Yet within the process itself, they often feel alone, overwhelmed, and quietly searching for others who understand.
In a culture that tends to celebrate the outcome more than the becoming, Melissa felt called to create something different — a space that honors the middle. A global community where women can stay connected to themselves and to one another in the messiness of change, while cultivating resilience, hope, and the capacity for transformation.
To Her was created to help women move through life’s transitions with less fear and more empowerment, guided by the wisdom of those who have walked the path before them.
